"A recent Facebook posting prompted me to search for a video filmed in Mount Morris in 1957. I finally found it today buried in an old archive. The archive custodian was good enough to post it on YouTube for me. Your website visitors can enjoy watching it as I did at https://youtu.be/5GTRdPsZxrc .
Indeed site visitors who grew up in Mount Morris in the 50's will see lots of familiar faces including Lou Behrens who plays the part of the hired recreation superintendent. Superficially, some viewers will no doubt find it corny at best. Not I. Rather, it reminds me just how fortunate I was to have lived it.
Moreover, the theme does not differ all that much from the current efforts of Mount Morris leaders to rejuvenate it. I applaud everyone involved!"
