Thursday, August 8@6pm – 2nd Annual Poetry Jam!
A fun evening for all! We will have poetry, music and much more. Our Poet Laureate for 2019 is Mr. Paul Anderson. Plan to come and spend the evening listening to great poems and music! We are welcoming back Await the Rain for our musical guests. Sign up at the Library!

Calling all poets! If you like poetry, write poetry, sing poetry, This is for you! We want poets, songwriters and readers to come and share their love of poems. Please call the Library and let us know if you want to participate! 

Saturday, August 17@4 pm - “Chosen” – documentary movie screening by film maker Abby Reese. Set with in a monastery in Rockford, IL, Chosen shares the story of “Heather” as she follows her calling to become a contemplative, cloistered nun. The documentary will be screened on August 17 at the Pinecrest Grove. Abby Reese is a writer and filmmaker from Mt. Carroll.

Tuesday, August 20@6pm – Recycled T-shirt projects – Do you have extra t-shirts with cool logos that you want to keep but can’t wear anymore? We will be taking two of your shirts and creating a piece of art and a practical shopping bag! Sign up at the library! Class is limited to 20 people, so sign up early!

Saturday, August 24@1-3 pm – Make your Own Sculpture!
In honor of the National Straw Sculpture Competition, we will have materials out at the library for you to make your own mini sculpture to take home! Come by and create!

Storytime starts on Wednesday, September 4 @11:15am for children birth to age 5.

Lego Club – Starts on Monday, September 9 at 5:45pm. Children under age 8 need to have a parent with them.
